Holy S#%t! Facts

This is Statistics Canada
Its purpose: to provide sound information so Canadians can better understand their country—its population, resources, economy, society and culture. Without it, we wouldn’t have access to the hard facts that underpin good political policies. We wouldn’t know if our government was lying to us. But our Prime Minister doesn’t want us to know what Statistics Canada tells us. He has eliminated the mandatory long-form census, and forced StatsCan chief Munir Sheikh to resign his post.
And he has denied us access to crime statistics because they went against his crime legislation. It all fits a pattern. But why? Why is Harper hiding essential information from us? Because when facts are published, Harper loses control. That’s why he’s waging a war on those who disagree with his policies, and on those who challenge his lies. That’s why he muzzles government scientists. That’s what makes him so dangerous. For Harper, it’s fall in line or be silenced. That’s why he must be stopped |

In the past three and a half years, the Harper government appointed 100 federal judges across Canada – and 98 of them were white. That’s right. In a country where 1 in 5 citizens belongs to a visible minority and where aboriginal people are losing land without legal recourse, our government continues to shun our diversity and maintain a one-perspective-rules-all philosophy.
